First Blogging Award!

I don't believe it! The Accidental Poet  has received a 'Super Sweet Blogging Award'
courtesy of Maureen Vincent-Northam, freelance writer, copy editor and genealogist, author of 'Trace Your Roots' and the  Writers Checklist .

The rules are fairly simple;

1. Thank the person who nominated you. (In this case Maureen, so far so good)

2.  Answer the following questions;
     i)   Cookies or cake?
     ii)  Chocolate or vanilla?
iii) What is your favourite sweet treat?
iv) When do you crave sweet things the most?
      v) If you had a sweet nickname, what would it be?
(a piece of cake, no pun intended)

3. Nominate up to a Baker's Dozen of deserving Blogs. (Now that could be a tough one)

So, without further ado, I'll address the first rule now by offering a big thank you to Maureen not only for the award but for setting me the additional challenge of completing rule two in verse. (Cheers Mo!)

Rule Two

Cookies or cake...  it's not hard to choose,
when faced with a mountain of gluttonous goo.
Cookies are tasty, but they crumble and flake
and there's no finer vision, than a plateful of cake.

Chocolate or vanilla... Mmmm, let me see.
It has to be chocolate, you have my decree.
Vanilla is lovely, in ice cream or custard,
but chocolate's the best, it's hotter than mustard.

My favourite sweet treat... Why chocolate of course,
can you see where I'm going? Are my rhymes feeling forced?
If you're after specifics then it's Cadbury's Caramel,
though if I've a craving, I'll take Thornton's as well.

When do I crave sweet things the most...
seriously girls, that's not for this post!
Now, this was much harder to put into rhyme,
but how can I slim, when I crave all the time?

To think of a nickname, as this tale un-furled...
well, what could be sweeter, 'Miss Cadbury World'
Or maybe some other name, brazen and sassy,
a name that lives up to this voluptuous chassis.

(How did I do Mo? )

Rule Three

My nominated blogs are.... Few in number, but interesting, informative, varied and fun.

1. Rose McClelland Rosie's Rag
2. Eva's Tarot Room Eva's Tarot Room
3.  Jessica Bell   The Alliterative Allomorph
4.  Caroline Gill Caroline Gill Poetry
